Integrated Time Systems, Inc. - about the company ...

In the mid 70's, two trends emerged in the semiconductor industry. First, advancing technology required more process complexity than could be afforded by existing controls; second, the industry became more yield competitive and cost-conscious. As a result, over-burdened operators were no longer able to maintain reasonable control over their processes. Human errors and other yield losses increased dramatically.

In 1975, two process engineers, frustrated by these trends, set out to find an affordable, reliable process sequencer that addressed their specific requirements. There simply weren't any! As the deadline for reducing their yield losses approached, they scavenged parts from used equipment and surplus supply houses and built their own process controller. It worked! Finally, predictable results were within reach.

Later that year, Integrated Time Systems was founded by those same process engineers, Bill Tanner and Jesse Quinn. Their primary objective was to increase process integrity and improve the predictability of process parameters.

Today, after nearly three decades of unparalleled technological expansion, yesterday's requirements seem embarrassingly simple. Yet, Integrated Time Systems continues to apply unique and comprehensive solutions to tough processing problems. While responding to the ever-changing needs of the semiconductor industry, Integrated Time Systems has never compromised its original philosophy - a commitment to process integrity and predictable results, time after time!
